About Lauren

Lauren Lesser (she/her) founded Sword Fern Consulting in 2025 to provide flexible, tailored solutions for problem-solvers on the Olympic Peninsula and beyond.

Lauren brings passion and experience to project management, facilitation, and community engagement to advance conservation, sustainable economic development, and systems change. She has over a decade of experience supporting nonprofits in roles from fundraising & operations to strategy & program work. Lauren is dedicated to supporting a thriving future for people and ecosystems, including support for strong communities and Tribal sovereignty.

Originally from south Florida, Lauren has lived in the Pacific Northwest since 2015. She is of European and Ashkenazi settler descent, and her current home is in the traditional territory of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe. She can often be found exploring local playgrounds with her five-year-old, supporting local coffee shops, and learning about climate and energy resilience for rural communities.
